Tax benefit to taking a work from home job for less salary?

aprilcioch asked:

Job offer for similar position w/ different company for $5,000 less salary; however, job is 100% work from home. Will be W-2 employee. Will the money I can save claiming my home business expenses make up for the $5,000 salary loss?

What you save in commuting or maybe daycare costs might make up the difference, but the home office deduction will never save you $5,000 in taxes.

Probably not…but the savings on other expenses (i.e. commute, food, clothing, child care, etc…) combined with home office tax deductions could equal the difference…

In order to make money from home, money needs to CHANGE HANDS. Companies offering money for little or no work have no value.. wheres the money coming from?? Whose paying you? That’s the real question you gotta ask yourself… be practical about it.
In my experience, getting a WHOLESALE account and selling on ebay is a really easy place to start for the beginner.
Heres the link to the wholesale supplier I use:

Good luck!
