Choose A Suitable Shower Unit
In market, different varieties of shower units are available. You can choose any of them as per your need and choice. To have a quick idea about all of them, we will now talk about push-on mixer shower unit, bath mixer shower unit, manual mixer shower unit, thermostatic mixer power shower and electric shower unit.
In push-on mixer shower unit, hose and spray parts are generally connected to bath tap according to your need. Via taps, different temperature can be set in this. This particular shower unit is not very expensive to purchase and easy to install. You can easily do the hose connection anytime and can also remove that.
In bath mixer shower, the hose and spray are joined with a bath mixer tap. In this, the temperature is adjusted via bath taps but temperature control is quite inconvenient. This shower unit is not very expensive to purchase.
The hose and spray in a manual mixer shower unit is a division of wall unit. In this type of shower unit, hot and cold water supply is connected to a single valve. In this shower unit, the temperature and pressure is controlled either through a single knob or variety of knobs.
Temperature control is quite easy in manual mixer types but as per as the cost is concerned, these unit are more expensive than bath mixer shower units and push-on mixer shower units. The installation of hot and cold water supply pipe is also quite difficult.
The hose and spray of thermostatic mixer are a part of wall unit and the hot and cold water supplies are connected to a single valve here too. It is complete with a built-in stabilizer to self-adjust the water temperature and to prevent it from becoming too hot. One of the biggest advantages of a thermostatic mixer shower type includes convenient temperature control.
A power shower is a single unit containing a powerful electric pump that is capable of altering both the water pressure and temperature. This type of shower can be fitted if there is water supply from a cold water cistern and a hot water cylinder. A power shower makes the adjustment of both pressure and temperature easy.
Electric shower is generally installed in main cold water supply and it heats up the water. The temperature and pressure in this shower unit can be adjusted with the help of a knob. One biggest downside of using this shower unit is that the high temperatures can only be maintained at less pressure and low temperatures at a high pressure. But this problem is solved in models that have winter/summer setting.
